Johnny Depp Offered THIS WHOPPING Amount To Return As Captain Jack Sparrow In Pirates Of The Caribbean 6, Disney Issues Apology-REPORTS
Johnny Depp had reportedly denied returning as Captain Jack Sparrow as he felt betrayed by the people he worked with
Remember, when Johnny Depp’s Pirates of the Caribbean character Captian Jack Sparrow was featured on Paris’ Disneyland after 5-years following his big win in a defamation lawsuit against ex-wife Amber Heard?
Yes, you guessed it right, Depp was indeed paid a hefty amount to return as the infamous pirate for the iconic franchise that has been breaking global box-office numbers since its inception.
Initially, after being dropped out of the Pirates of the Caribean franchise, Johnny Depp had reportedly denied returning as Captain Jack Sparrow, however, Disney seems to have made him an offer he cannot refuse!
According to the recent Poptopic report, a source revealed that Disney has offered a massive deal to Johnny Depp to be a part of Pirates of the Caribbean. Well, the deal is said to be worth $301 million and when converted to Indian currency, it comes down to Rs 2355 crores.
Many questioned Dinsey’s intentions and alleged that the giant is making money off Depp’s exit from the franchise. Fans were also furious over Disney’s failure to issue an apology before featuring Johnny Depp’s character on Disneyland’s castle in Paris.
However, it is yet to be seen if Johnny Depp accepts the corporate’s apology with a big heart or if he rejects the giant's plea.
But, fans need not worry!
According to the latest reports, Disney has not only made him a whopping deal, but they have also issued an apology. The source claimed, "I know corporate sent him a gift basket with a very heartfelt letter, but I’m unsure how it was received. But what I can tell you is that the studio has already penned up a draft for a film about Jack Sparrow — so they are very hopeful that Johnny will forgive them and return as his iconic character."
Although, there is no confirmation on this whatsoever.
The landmark development comes following the end of the $100 million defamation trial with his former wife Amber Heard, during which the 59-year-old actor stated that he felt betrayed by the people he worked with and that he would not go back to Disney for Pirates of the Caribbean 6.
In one of the comments, during the trial, when asked if he would not go back to being Jack Sparrow, Johnny had said, "there was a deep and distinct sense of feeling betrayed by the people that I've worked hard for. People that I delivered a character to that they initially despised, but I stuck to my guns with the character and it seemed to work."
Interestingly, Johnny was strongly supported by his fans in every decision he has adapted. Following the reported apology from Disney, fans are waiting for Johnny’s confirmation to return as Captian Jack Sparrow.
